Overview
Launched in 2021 by the Seychelles Tourism Board with the Immigration and Civil Status department, the programme issues a Visitor's Workcation Permit (VWP) through the electronic border system at seychelles.govtas.com. Applicants show proof of employment or business ownership abroad, a stable income or savings, travel and health insurance and provisional accommodation, and pay a one-time fee of about €45 (US$46) that also covers the Health Travel Authorization.
Stays run from one month to a year, and digital nomads — employed or self-employed — pay no Seychelles income tax.

Who is eligible
- Remote employee, freelancer or business owner working for clients or employers outside Seychelles.
- Passport valid for at least six months.
- Documents proving business ownership or employment abroad.
- Proof of a stable income or sufficient savings (six months of bank statements).
- Travel and health insurance and provisional proof of accommodation.

The programme asks for “proof of having a stable source of income or sufficient savings” with bank statements for the last six months, rather than a published minimum. Employees attach an employer letter; business owners their registration documents.

Taxes
