Overview

The NDR gave remote workers who earn their income outside Antigua and Barbuda, and their dependants, residence status for up to two years. The portal still lists the former criteria — age 18 or over, employment outside the country with the ability to work remotely, a minimum income of US$50,000, a clean criminal record and the ordinary entry-visa requirements — and the former fees: US$1,500 single, US$2,000 for a couple and US$3,000 for a family of up to four, plus US$650 per additional person. The visa was valid for two years and could not be renewed.

On 10 November 2025 the Department of Immigration announced that the programme would come to an end on 15 November 2025, after five years in which it “successfully attracted remote professionals from around the world”. The nomad.gov.ag portal still loads, but its application buttons now read “This program has ended”.

Editor's note — Some third-party guides still describe the NDR as open. The Government's notice is unambiguous: the programme ended on 15 November 2025. Current NDR visa holders with questions can call the Department of Immigration on (268) 562-8755 or (268) 562-1387.
